Flight is a modern marvel made almost mundane by profusion. Yet the initial reaction to bodies rising into and powering across the skies is as an eternal moment cast in amber. A flurry of jewels on distant planes does little to diminish their value to those across the vast majority of the stellar system that rarely, if ever, see a single jewel. The hidden mechanisms of our modern marvels are similar, marvelous and widespread. Were microsingularities to find their way into strange factories to be harnessed for personal flight, would the jewels zipping across the skies cause perpetual wonder or would the mystery fade as the masses flood the skies?
