Prompt

**Chapter 18 – The Dragon Who Owned Nothing Except Everything Part 2 – The Road the Dragon Tried to Erase** Use the uploaded reference images strictly for **Morksik (CR-M1), Borstel (CR-M2), Hopsy (CR-M4), and Dravarius (CR-M14)**. Preserve their established species, appearance, clothing and relative proportions exactly. Scene: deep inside Dravarius’s vast mountain library, the travellers have discovered the mysterious map of the forgotten road. At the centre stands a **large ancient wooden map table** covered with old maps, books and scrolls. An aged parchment map clearly shows the mountain and a mysterious **thin glowing blue road disappearing into an unknown blank region**. The blue route should be visually important and magical, but do not fill the image with written text. **Dravarius (CR-M14)** stands behind the table, towering enormously over everyone. Match his reference closely: huge **wingless**, monitor-lizard-like dragon, heavy four-legged reptilian build, long tail, earthy olive-brown and charcoal scales, amber eyes, backward-curving horns, round spectacles and tiny black scholar’s cap. His expression has become serious and concerned as he studies the glowing road. **NO WINGS on Dravarius.** Hopsy stands beside the table holding the **small blue feather from the World Tree** above the map. The feather glows with soft blue light, and the blue road on the parchment responds with the same light. Hopsy MUST clearly be a **kangaroo**, never rabbit-like, with his enormous naturally attached leather pouch clearly visible and containing assorted travelling objects. Morksik stands close to the map, studying the strange road with concern. **Match the new CR-M1 exactly**: preserve his distinctive face, large ears, pink nose, grey fur, long limbs, brown adventurer clothing, backpack and established proportions. Do not redesign or reinterpret him. Borstel stands near Morksik, clearly a **hedgehog**, wearing his established clothing and carrying the patched satchel given to him by his older self. The satchel should be visible because it will become important later. Also include **Percival P. Waddlesworth**, the small dignified penguin gentleman from Part 1: black tailcoat, white shirt, bow tie, top hat and monocle, standing near the table and examining the map. **Preserve scale carefully:** Dravarius is vastly larger than Morksik, Borstel, Hopsy and Percival. The four travellers remain clearly visible but should look genuinely small beside the enormous dragon. Background: towering bookshelves, wooden galleries and ladders disappearing upward into the cavern, ancient books, scrolls and warm amber lamps. Contrast the warm golden library light with the mysterious cold blue glow from the feather and map. Atmosphere: discovery, mystery and growing danger rather than action. Everyone is focused on the map and the impossible blue road. Realistic painterly fantasy storybook illustration, highly detailed natural textures, cinematic depth, soft volumetric lighting, consistent with *The Morks of Mistmoor*. **4:3 landscape composition. No duplicate characters.** Bottom-right: small white full-body unicorn watermark with the text **“AI by Unicorngraphics”**.

Dravarius continued adjusting his spectacles as though the correct position might somehow improve Borstel's question. "Ownership," he finally said, "is a crude word." Borstel pointed at another red label. "It says PROPERTY." "Administrative terminology." "And DO NOT REMOVE?" "Preservation policy." Hopsy reached toward a small green book. An enormous claw immediately descended between him and the shelf. "Not that one." Hopsy withdrew his hand. "I thought knowledge belonged to everyone." "It does." "Can I read it?" Dravarius considered this. "From where you are standing." Hopsy stared at the book several feet away. "I can't see the words." "Then improve your eyesight." Percival nodded approvingly. "A remarkably efficient lending system." Dravarius gave him a pleased look. "At last, a serious intellectual." Percival straightened his bow tie. Borstel whispered to Morksik, "They're going to become unbearable." Dravarius turned. "I heard that." "I know." For the first time the dragon smiled. "You may survive here after all." He led them deeper into the library. The cavern widened into a great circular chamber where shelves rose around a stone table covered with books, scrolls and maps. Above it hung a brass model of the World Tree. Tiny silver roads spread from its roots in every direction. Morksik stopped. "You know the World Tree?" Dravarius's amusement disappeared. "I know many things I would prefer not to know." Morksik approached the table. One map showed Mistmoor far to the west and the mountain at its centre. But a thin blue line had been drawn beyond the mountain into a blank region of parchment. At its end stood one word. FORGOTTEN. Hopsy leaned over Morksik's shoulder. "That doesn't sound encouraging." Percival examined the map through his monocle. "Where does the road go?" "Nowhere," Dravarius answered. Borstel frowned. "It's drawn on the map." "That is precisely the problem." The dragon placed one claw beside the blue line. "Three hundred and twelve years ago this road appeared outside my mountain. No traveller built it. No kingdom claimed it. Every map upon which I erased it showed it again the following morning." Morksik looked at the blue ink. "Where did it lead?" Dravarius was silent for a moment. "To places that had been forgotten." Hopsy relaxed slightly. "That doesn't sound so terrible." "Not forgotten things," Dravarius said. "Forgotten possibilities." Nobody spoke. Dravarius continued. "Roads never taken. Doors never opened. Journeys abandoned before they began. Choices that might have been made but were not." Borstel glanced at Morksik. "Like the station." The dragon's eyes narrowed. "What station?" Morksik told him about the two roads, the older Borstel, the second Percival and the blue feather that had revealed a third path between the false journeys.
