In Caninia, Agatha Misty and Lord Dogula are on their way to one of the sunsteel smiths, when a shady figure addresses them in the street.
"My master has heard of your investigation and wishes to speak with you," he tells them.
"Who is your master?" Agatha Misty wants to know.
"Someone you do not want to offend," the man answers. "Just come with me."
Agatha Misty hesitates. She does not like the look of this individual but Lord Dogula reassures her that he could defend her if this would prove necessary. Besides, if they went missing, King Charles Spaniel would surely call out the entire army to find them. So they agree to accompany this strange character to his mysterious master.
