In the still of night, 'neath the pale moon's light,
A shadow creeps, a fearsome sight.
With legs that span like ancient trees,
A giant spider, sent to seize.

It skulks through alleys, dark and deep,
While all the town lies still, asleep.
Its eyes, like embers, glow with hate,
As it spins a fate none can debate.

The cobwebs cling, a ghostly shroud,
Ensnaring screams, despair aloud.
Homes entombed in silken graves,
As the spider hunts, none can save.

Yet from the darkness, hope takes form,
A band of heroes, hearts so warm.
With torch and blade, they face their fear,
To save the town they hold so dear.

The battle rages, fierce and long,
A test of wills, both bold and strong.
At last, the beast, it shrieks, defeated,
By courage's hand, it's finally cheated.

The town awakes to dawn's soft glow,
Relieved from night's arachnid woe.
In tales they'll tell, in songs they'll weave,
The night they fought, the night they cleaved.

So let this story be a guide,
Of how dark fears we can set aside.
For together, strong, we'll always stand,
Against the shadows that stalk the land.
