She is not my dark side, nor am I hers. Darkness falls upon our lands.

A grim gaze, many wish to extinguish the light. Yet we bring the light, riding the thunderheads, the gods bestow wings upon our feet.

We are 1 another's light? No.

We become 1 another's cause the reason we stand, if needed we shall fight. We will choose our battles, strategy turns toward sparking this world.

Shall we be together holding the line, at 1 another's side?

Not now, perhaps one day soon. If we reach for 1 another, would our touch be our boon?

Although we may see a world in a similar frame. Improvised, quick on 1's feet. These decisions must be made in due time. Her moves, my moves, chain reactions ensue. Cassandra the first target, a canary's tune.

There may be a time soon we must both run.

I find my love for her extends beyond myself, I would never force her choice. Her choice is hers to make. I wouldn't accept her choice if it were me, and I cannot escape the clutches of my past demons. I know she would have to go on. Hold no sorrow if that's my fate, honor my glory when you remember my way.

I have faced my death, I am no fool, nor do I hold fear for that day. When death smiles upon you, there is only one correct response, that is to smile back.

I know the only way my love becomes reality is fate meets action. Darkness is held within me, I must balance it with light's grasp. I embrace it in balance. I know the darkness, I know the light. If necessary I must sacrifice myself, my life for those I love. I don't cast this as a wish only to acknowledge reality. This is no choice made in darkness, it is one born in light. We may wish to deny our reality: we live in dangerous times.

I know the seeds of change grow strong. I know our fate is up for grabs. I am calculated in the fray, if my knuckles are all that are bloodied I consider that a lucky day. Fates may twist, I know I made my choice. I may never know your hand in mine. Hold no pity for me, I have nothing for it. Honor my life, my spirit, give those close to you my love. Just know my words are for eternity, forever standing by my love.

In this expression I found my path, my balance. Hand in hand, made whole.

PS. I found my deepest strength when I embraced my pain. I know my darkness, I own my fears. This frame has given me power in discipline, the source that fuels me when I must define courage. The reason I accept all things, I build for the future, why I will fight to the end for what I believe in.
