Ultra-detailed cinematic fantasy illustration in a warm, realistic painterly style. 4:3 aspect ratio. The Cottage of the Vanished Wizard – Chapter 22 – Part 2 – The Reader Before the First Page. Use exactly these reference images: CR-01a Mara CR-01b Linora CR-03b Ticko CR-08a Lumio Inside the First Library before every story. Endless wooden bookshelves filled with pale blank books stretch beyond sight beneath warm golden light. A single wooden table stands beneath a perfectly still candle flame. Upon the chair sits the mysterious First Reader wearing a simple grey robe. The figure is viewed mainly from behind or in gentle profile, preserving its mystery while reading an enormous ancient book without a title. Mara carefully steps toward the table holding the glowing blank page. Linora follows beside her. Ticko's lantern shines brightly while Lumio projects a faint blue holographic glow as he quietly scans the impossible library. A few blank books slowly begin changing into delicate shades of blue, silver and green as the First Reader turns another page. The endless shelves gradually disappear into soft glowing mist, creating a timeless atmosphere of quiet wonder. No readable text anywhere. No additional characters. No logos except a very small white unicorn watermark with the text "AI by Unicorngraphics" in the lower right corner.

For several long heartbeats, nobody answered. The mysterious voice beyond the golden doorway carried neither command nor expectation. It simply waited with a patience so profound that even silence seemed welcome in its presence. Mara felt the warm crystal bottle at her belt grow slightly brighter, while Ticko's lantern answered with a steady golden glow that reached no farther than the next few steps. The endless white beyond the doorway remained unchanged. No shadow moved. No wind stirred. Yet everyone sensed that unseen eyes were calmly watching them from beyond the impossible threshold. At last Mara took a careful step forward. The glowing staircase answered beneath her boot with another gentle ripple of golden light. Then she spoke with quiet honesty. “I do not know.” The words echoed softly through the endless whiteness before fading into complete silence. Nothing happened. The golden door neither opened farther nor closed again. Instead, the calm voice returned, sounding almost pleased. “Then you have given the only answer that can open what certainty never will.” Biblior slowly lowered his ancient book. “You asked a question that has no answer.” “No,” the unseen speaker replied gently. “I asked a question that loses every answer once it is believed complete.” Memoris closed his eyes thoughtfully. “Knowledge has always ended where wisdom begins.” The Keeper quietly inclined its head without adding another word. It was clear that these were truths even the ancient guardian had never attempted to explain. Slowly the golden door opened a little wider. Soft white radiance flowed through the narrow opening, yet it cast no shadows and revealed no shape waiting beyond. It was not light in the ordinary sense. It felt more like possibility itself, still untouched by choice or memory. Lumio projected another scanning beam toward the doorway. The bright blue light entered the opening and quietly disappeared without reflection, measurement or return. A few moments later, the little living phone sighed. “I cannot detect anything.” Sir Fegelot tilted his old hat. “That sounds rather impolite of whatever is living in there.” For the first time since the staircase had left the Hall of Silent Names behind, a quiet chuckle spread through the group. Even the Keeper's ancient eyes seemed almost amused. Then the voice spoke once more. “Humor survives where certainty cannot.” Mudge was not there to answer with one of his usual remarks, yet somehow Mara found herself smiling at the thought of what the cheerful otter would certainly have said.
