[CONTINUED FROM PART THREE]. As we have already said, Arialville had no telephones or automobiles. But they did have computers, a combination of their pianolas and abacuses. They also had CW and MCW radio. So by combining the two (or is it three), i.e. connecting the "Janet Sebastian Batch" processors to the MCW transceivers, we have both packet radio, and bulletin boards. These became quite popular in Arialville, and the plushies would chat for hours, using the piano keyboards as alphabetic (or rather phonetic Vandanai) teletypes, hearing the output as an arpeggio of sounds rather than printed output (which saved a lot of paper!). As for cars, they "didn't need them" (to misquote Virgin Media), as they would soon discover gravitomagnetic teleportation, astral projection, and UAP's... [TO BE CONTINUED IN PART FIVE]
