ArtistFull-screen, museum-quality meticulous arcrylic painting all the way to the edge of the canvas of a stand of majestic, tall, ancient ghost gums (Eucalyptus aparrerinja or Corymbia aparrerinja) with very smooth, glowing white trunks. A flock of many hundreds of galahs (all the same size) has convened only in the trees on the treetops. Hundreds of birds in the trees! The galahs have candy-pink faces and chests, pale gray backs and a paler pink crown on their head. The galahs are happy, flappy and very, very noisy. The gum trees have smooth, brilliantly white, straight trunks, twisted branches, and scattered, olive-green leaves where the sun shines on them and blue-green leaves in the sparse shade. The gum trees stand in front of a backdrop of dramatic, rugged, sharp-edged, red cliffs in eastern Western Australia, on arid, red ground. The ground is bare and terra-cotta colored. The sky is clear and bright blue. Prize-winning botanical study, rich detail, strong colors, breathtaking beauty. The style is a mix of line art for emphasis and wet watercolor to transport the shimmering heat of the dry desert. The style is reminiscent of Maynard Dixon and James Swinnerton, acclaimed naturalistic-impressionistic painters of the desert.
A picturesque scene featuring tall ghost gum trees with twisting branches, adorned with a huge flock of galahs perched on their tops, set against an electric blue sky and red rock formations in the background.
