It made me research Petrarch - casually, I knew about, but not details. My handle is 'The Mystic', and I base much of it on Hildegard von Bingen and Meister Eckhart. I did not 'choose' my handle, it was given to me by a curator in Canada discussing my work in the exhibition catalog, based on my exposure and knowledge of Native Americans, having gone through the Sundance Ceremony myself (mid seventies, Cree Reservation), before the Lakota council decided to not admit Non Natives to be inducted. fragmented surrealist photomontage composed as a theatrical tableau; juxtaposed unrelated objects, cut-paper collage elements, vintage engravings, found ephemera, newspaper clippings, scientific diagrams, symbolic artifacts, and dreamlike visual contradictions.
