Following Jesus is not always easy, and there may be times when we are tempted to turn back or give up. But as Christians, we are called to be determined to keep moving forward in our faith, no matter the challenges we may face.
When we decide to follow Jesus, we are making a commitment to Him. We are saying that we believe in Him and want to live our lives in a way that honors Him. But this commitment requires perseverance and determination, especially when things get tough.
In Luke 9:62, Jesus says, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God." This means that once we have committed to following Jesus, we must keep our eyes fixed on Him and not turn back. We must be determined to keep moving forward in our faith, even when it's hard.
This determination requires a willingness to surrender our own desires and preferences to God's will. It means trusting in His plan for our lives and relying on His strength to carry us through difficult times.
As we walk with Jesus, we may face trials, temptations, and setbacks. But we must remember that He is with us every step of the way, and He will never leave us or forsake us. When we feel like giving up, we can turn to Him for strength and guidance.
So let us be determined to keep moving forward in our faith, no matter what obstacles we may face. Let us trust in God's plan for our lives and rely on His strength to carry us through. And may we never look back, but always keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, who is the author and perfecter of our faith.
