Sheep are mentioned frequently throughout the Bible, often as a symbol of God's people. Jesus even referred to himself as the Good Shepherd who lays down his life for his sheep.
Sheep are known for their docility and reliance on their shepherd. As Christians, we too should rely on our heavenly Shepherd for guidance and protection, trusting that he will lead us to green pastures and still waters. Just as sheep follow their shepherd's voice, we should tune our ears to hear God's voice and follow his commands.
