Zacchaeus was a tax-collector and hated by his countrymen. Not only was he cheating scoundrel, he was a traitor to his nation. No one liked this little creep. Not even a little bit. But one day, Zacchaeus heard Jesus was coming through town and wanted to see him. Word had gotten out though and the crowd grew and grew as they eagerly awaited this special visit. Zacchaeus, who was short in stature, realized he wouldn't even get a glimpse of Jesus over the enormous gathering of people. But he was, if nothing else, clever and surmised where Jesus would pass. There was sycamore tree along the way and Zacchaeus decided that climbing it would guarantee a great view. Zacchaeus got more than a view. He got an entire conversation with Jesus and a changed life.
