The Morks of Mistmoor – Chapter 13 – Part 1 Create a highly detailed cinematic fantasy illustration in a realistic painterly storybook style with soft volumetric lighting and rich atmospheric depth. Landscape 4:3. IMPORTANT Use the official master references exactly as provided. Reference Images: CR-M11 – Weltenbaum CR-M1a – Morksik CR-M1b – Borstel CR-M4 – Hopsy Do not redesign any reference. CR-M11 – Weltenbaum is the complete environment. Keep the official Weltenbaum exactly as shown. Show only one simple moment. Morksik, Borstel and Hopsy stand quietly beneath the official Weltenbaum, all looking upward with expressions of wonder. Beside one enormous root stands Mossor, an elderly turtle wizard wearing simple green moss robes and holding a crooked wooden staff with a tiny blue bird perched on top. A single glowing golden leaf slowly floats downward toward Morksik. The legendary lantern itself is not visible. Only a warm golden light shines softly from somewhere high above outside the image. No additional magical effects. No tree face unless it already exists in CR-M11. No extra creatures. No new characters. The focus is the four companions standing beneath the official CR-M11 – Weltenbaum in a peaceful, sacred atmosphere.

Chapter 13 – The Light That Awakened Above the World Tree Part 1 – The Branch That Reached Beyond the Sky
For a long while none of the four travelers spoke. They simply stood beneath the endless branches while the warm golden light far above continued to grow brighter with every quiet heartbeat. It did not shine like the morning sun or the gentle blue lights that wandered through Mistmoor. Its radiance seemed alive, flowing softly through the countless leaves as though the ancient tree itself had begun remembering something long forgotten. The silence beneath the Weltenbaum felt unlike any silence Morksik had ever known. It was not empty. Every gentle breeze carried whispers through the leaves overhead, forming melodies too ancient for words. The enormous roots beneath their feet pulsed faintly with rivers of golden light, each pulse spreading quietly through the forest before disappearing once more into the living wood. Mossor remained perfectly still, his weathered hand resting against the great trunk beside the little round doorway. His calm smile slowly faded into quiet respect. "It has been many years," the old turtle whispered almost to himself. Borstel looked from the glowing branches back to the wizard. "What has?" Mossor continued watching the distant light. "The Lantern." Hopsy's ears immediately perked up. "I wondered whether it still existed." Mossor smiled gently. "It never stopped existing. It merely slept." Morksik frowned in confusion. "A lantern?" The old turtle nodded. "Long before the first Mork built a home, before the oldest rivers chose their courses, before the mist learned to blanket these valleys, a single lantern grew within the highest branches of the Weltenbaum." Borstel scratched his head. "Who climbed that high?" A quiet chuckle escaped the old wizard. "No one." He pointed slowly toward the shimmering light high above them. "It grew there with the tree itself." The four companions lifted their eyes toward the distant crown. Hidden among endless layers of branches they could now distinguish the faint outline of something hanging gently from one of the oldest limbs. It resembled an enormous lantern woven from living branches, crystal leaves and delicate strands of golden light. Every few moments tiny glowing sparks drifted away from it like seeds carried by an invisible wind before disappearing into the silver sky. "The Lantern of First Paths," Mossor said softly. "The oldest light in all of Mistmoor." Hopsy smiled warmly. "My grandmother used to tell stories about it when I was little." Borstel folded his arms. "Mine always said that stories beginning with 'long before anyone remembers' were probably exaggerated." Mossor laughed quietly. "On the contrary. Those are usually the ones closest to the truth." Even Borstel could not suppress a smile.
