Forgive the dream
All is not
as it seems for
woven within
and running
through
our whole life
is a shimmering
golden thread,
beautiful, strong,
that we
may hold onto
when winter
comes with its
storms and darkness
making
us long for the light
and warmth of a
spring day
or starry
summer night—
the gentle golden
hues of Fall—
all, but the frozen
clime of winter—
but listen
even in winter
there is beauty
and song,
rainbows on
crystals bright
with light within
the snow
that falls
before our eyes,
wonder
in the deep
hoot of an owl
in the early hours
before day break,
within our own
celebrations
we choose
to make.
Try not to slip on the
ice or get stuck
in the snow of
winter, become frozen,
lose your breath, Best
Remember
Spring will come and,
forgive the dream,
In response, and inspired by a poem within the book, THE GIFT, Poems by HAFIZ, The Great Sufi Master, Translations by Daniel Ladinsky.
Certainly not to say I am a master or even an apprentice in any way of poetry or mystical insight—all is simply a creative endeavor to see what my own mind and heart may say of the poem, to try and put it into my own words, or simply to respond to the ideas set forth by HAFIZ, and translated by Daniel.
(My apologies, this footnote will be repeated as I intend, at least presently, to continue in this mode for awhile. I am quite curious how AI will interpret things and how I may work and play, tweek words and such to perhaps change the direction AI is taking, in the end, hopefully to make a dream worthwhile sharing.)
(poem my own) Now, Thanks to Riffusion, there is a song as well—if you wish to give a listen, follow the link below : )
