An engraving-style illustration shows two kangaroos standing on the rocky, cratered surface of the moon, looking at planet Earth which hangs in the night sky. The large planet is textured with blue oceans, green and tan landmasses, and white, swirled clouds, and it has an aged appearance with sepia tones. Another grey moon, deeply cratered and heavily textured, is visible in the upper-left, and several smaller moons and planets are scattered across the inky black sky among a dense field of stars and a visible, detailed Milky Way. The foreground is filled with a variety of colorful wildflowers blooming amidst the grey, rocky lunar landscape, with red, yellow, and pink petals contrasting with the austere background. The two kangaroos, one larger and one smaller, are positioned in profile, standing on their hind legs and tails, turned to the right as they gaze up at the Earth. The entire image has the look of a vintage copperplate or woodcut print, with fine lines and cross-hatching creating texture and shadow.
