A surreal dream sequence depicting nocturnal experiences whilst asleep shows a desert landscape with a tranquil blue lagoon in the foreground, surrounded by large, jagged rock formations. In the foreground, a woman with striking strong coloured hair, clad in a flowing, shimmering nightgown, gazes pensively into the somewhere. From the water, another figure rises from a sort of shell – a woman with a serene expression, around whom the water spills over the edges as if in a whirlpool, emphasising the ethereal, dreamlike atmosphere of the scene. In the background, rocks can be seen upon which naked figures are perched; and between floating rocks and an enigmatic golden statue, a series of translucent, ghostly images of what appears to be the same woman as in the left-hand foreground can be seen in the background. The sky is a brilliant blue, emphasising the dreamlike and symbolic nature of this artistic tableau.
