The reeds are a beautiful mid-green, with very long, blade-like leaves and upright, feathery light-green plumes painstakingly constructed from intricately folded paper. The leaves and stems are folded from stiffer paper, whereas the plumes are made of thin, light-green and light-brown tissue paper. Although the reeds are an origami project, they look uncannily realistic, and are set against a mid-blue sky, which additionally accentuates the illusion of real plants. The origami tableau is sunlit from the front. Craft creation made as a comunity project, with many hands putting in long hours and great attention to detail.
