As we journey through life, we encounter various forms of protection from the people around us. One of the most significant sources of protection we experience is from our fathers. As children, we look up to our fathers as our protectors and providers. They are our superheroes, who we believe will always be there to keep us safe from harm.

However, earthly fathers are not perfect, and they have their shortcomings. They may fail to protect their children due to their limitations, mistakes, or even their absence. But the good news is that we have a Heavenly Father who is perfect and who will always protect us no matter what.

In Psalm 91:1-2, the psalmist declares, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.'" These verses paint a picture of our Heavenly Father as a place of refuge and protection, a fortress that shields us from all harm.

Our Heavenly Father is not like an earthly father who can be limited by his physical strength or his human weaknesses. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, and always present. He will never leave us nor forsake us, and His love for us is perfect and unconditional.

Even if we have not experienced good fatherly protection in our earthly lives, we can trust that our Heavenly Father will always be there to protect us. He has promised to be a Father to the fatherless and to defend the cause of the vulnerable.

So let us take comfort in the fact that we have a perfect Father in heaven who loves us and protects us. Let us always turn to Him in times of trouble, knowing that He is our refuge and strength, and that He will never fail to protect and provide for us.
