The setting sun in a darkening sky with clouds illuminated by the sun from below. A medium-sized Roman-style town nestled in a valley between rugged hillsides. Agatha, an anthropomorphic German spaniel with uniform glossy reddish-brown fur that shimmers in the light. Agatha wears an elegant dark green dress and carries a brown leather bag on her right side with the strap of the bag draped over Agatha's left shoulder. Dogula, an anthropomorphic Transylvanian hound. Dogula wears black robes and a black cloak with a high collar and prominently shows his long canines protruding past his lower lip. Dogula holds a staff made of ebony which has a faintly glowing moonstone inset at the top. The three Wiskerteers, three anthropomorphic cats. The first, Artemis, is fully white with blue eyes, the second, Purrsephone, is roundish and orange with amber eyes and the third, Athena, is an elderly tabby with green eyes . The three Wiskerteers wear red robes and cloaks and carry a rapier in a sheath attached to their belt. Agatha, Dogula, Athena, Artemis and Purrsephone sit on a hillside overlooking the valley surrounded by a thicket. Agatha, Dogula, Athena, Artemis and Purrsephone all look at the town below. Dogula holds an ornate wooden box with gold fittings.

More about Part 4, Chapter 11: A Gift

Lord Dogula rises and searches on the ground for a moment. He finds a piece of wood, a stone then picks a dandelion. With his magic he transforms the piece of wood into a box. Then he combines the stone and the dandelion into fitting that look, at first glance, like gold. Finally he places a spell on the box so that anyone who opens it will be instantly bound and incapable of using any magic to defend themselves.
“This should be enough for us to arrest him,” Lord Dogula announces.
“But wait,” says Artemis. “Wouldn't he question why we didn't send the gift via his border guards? And shouldn't we have a letter from Queen Formica?”
“We could tell him that we were ordered to deliver the gift and message personally,” Purrsephone suggests. “And that his guards refused us entry, so we had to sneak in.”
With this resolve, they set out for Big-Antium in the gathering gloom.
