After several days of arduous journey, our heroes reach Big-Antium, the capital of Antium. They must wait for cover of darkness to enter the city. What will they find there? None of them can say for certain. They assume they will find Lord Laverno in his parent's home. But will they be able to arrest him this time? He has already evaded them twice.
Once again, Agatha Misty has an idea. “We must use his vanity against him,” she says. “Let's make him believe that Queen Formica has changed her mind and will marry him.”
Athena laughs. “That would certainly make him lower his guard. But for that we should have brought something that could serve as a royal gift.”
