In Germany, there is a new right-wing extremist party that is growing stronger. In many federal states, it has already been classified as right-wing extremist by the courts. The ruling on the party at the federal level is still being held back without credible reasons. If a party is suspected of being anti-constitutional, the law stipulates that it must be examined whether the party should be banned. But the government is still making excuses, finding flimsy arguments against it, and delaying. Nevertheless, the following must apply here: if a crime has been committed, the circumstances of the crime must be investigated and a court must determine the guilt of the alleged perpetrator. And that should not apply to political parties? It does not matter whether they have been democratically elected. Because never forget: Hitler was also democratically elected!!!
The “Prüf!” campaign, initiated by comedian Nico Semsrott, simply demands that the law has to be applied. It calls for an investigation of the neo-Nazis so that a possible ban on the party can be evaluated. This is no political left extremist demand but just the legally prescribed procedure to enable our democracy to protect itself. All we want is democracy in action!
