Is it a face, or is it a lie?
Picasso laughs as the colors imply—
round cheeks, soft lines,
truth redefined,
a butt in disguise, a mask to deny?

One eye is red, the other’s a mysterious blue,
reflecting the chaos we each construe.
“Are we art, or a jest?”
they ask, unoppressed,
because in each, a different truth breaks through.
