INFO:
The song “Tulips from Amsterdam” originated from the German song “Tulpen aus Amsterdam,” composed by Ralf Arnie in 1956. British songwriter Gene Martyn later adapted the song into English, and it became widely popular, especially with artists like Max Bygraves in the 1950s and 1960s. Although the song features Dutch imagery, such as tulips and Amsterdam, its origins are actually German.

** With a heart that’s true, I’ll give to you… **
When Jenni retired, Penny the roo
Said, “I’ll hop what no horse could do!”
But with Amsterdam tulips in paw,
She slowed down in awe—
“Come spring, I’ll deliver them to you!”
With love, © Aífe
