Tell me how strong you are.
How bringing the world suffering isn’t our prison,
and your happy to invite us all in.
Perform strength, a fool’s errand.
Never understanding that true power lies in contrition.
You're never sorry?
You never made a mistake?
In the mirror you know you live in falsehood.
Deep down you know you may never grow beyond the moment you hold that stake.
The day contrition finds you is the day you set yourself free.
The day you become whole.
Only actions speak when you’re truly sorry.
Each time you admit error you have the opportunity to become stronger.
You allow yourself room to improve.
Becoming a better woman, man, guiding youth.
Without it you are in a prison that everyone must pretend not to see.
When your power wanes your lack of courage will be plain to see.
Seek revenge know one day you will find your way from those bars.
Would you have the courage to show contrition?
Could you accept that when you’re wrong it is a gift, an opportunity to grow.
Truth is having the courage to admit your prison for what it is.
For a cell is not the same as armor.
