ArtistThe Cottage of the Vanished Wizard – Chapter 16 – Part 3 – The Eyes That Guarded the First Word. Inside the endless Hall Before Every Beginning, towering bookshelves disappear into glowing silver clouds. Ancient books without titles bear only luminous footprints upon their covers. Millions of glowing letters flow across the ceiling like a magnificent river of light while countless enormous golden eyes silently watch from the dark shelves. THE CENTRAL FOCUS OF THE IMAGE IS LINORA. Beautiful young woman with long auburn hair, intelligent green eyes, elegant dark blue medieval dress and brown leather boots. Linora stands at the exact center of the composition, holding Lumio carefully with both hands close to her chest. She is the emotional focus of the entire scene. Lumio is a friendly living enchanted modern black smartphone with expressive bright blue eyes and smiling face displayed on the screen, metallic arms and legs, dark gloves, dark leather boots and a gentle silver-blue magical aura. Above Linora and Lumio, the brilliant silver-blue word FRIEND shines in enormous glowing letters, descending into Lumio's screen. Standing immediately beside Linora is a beautiful young woman, 22 years old, approximately 1.70 m tall. Long naturally wavy golden-blonde hair reaching the middle of her back. Bright blue eyes, fair skin with light freckles, warm gentle smile. Slender naturally athletic figure. Loose forest-green medieval linen tunic, brown leather belt, dark charcoal trousers and sturdy brown leather boots. Mara gently places one hand upon Lumio. Ticko sits quietly on Mara's shoulder while holding a tiny glowing blue lantern. Wise elderly librarian and keeper of the Great Library. Long white hair reaching the shoulders, full white beard, calm blue-grey eyes, noble intelligent face. Tall dignified build wearing elegant deep blue medieval librarian robes while holding a large ancient book. Beside him stands Memoris, an elderly archivist with round spectacles carrying parchment scrolls. Klemmi, the friendly living oversized polished golden paperclip, gently places one hand upon Lumio. Sir Fegelot, the living enchanted broom wearing his slightly crooked old black magic hat, also touches Lumio. Madam Arabica, the friendly living antique copper coffee kettle, stands beside them. The living enchanted square glass ink bottle with blue-black magical ink gently splashes beside the group. Behind everyone stands the mysterious First Keeper with one hand raised. Behind the Keeper, a narrow bridge made entirely of glowing unwritten pages stretches across a vast dark abyss toward a small crooked wooden cottage door standing alone in the distance. Epic medieval fantasy, breathtaking scale, cinematic realism, volumetric silver light, magical atmosphere, masterpiece, ultra detailed, emotional, 4:3 composition. Tiny full-body white unicorn logo with the text "AI by Unicorngraphics" in the bottom right corner.
For one long moment, nobody moved. The golden eyes remained open between the endless shelves, silent and unblinking, while the river of glowing letters flowed above them like a sky made of unfinished thoughts. Nutty pressed the tiny lantern against his chest. Klemmi slowly reached into his satchel. Sir Fegelot lowered his hat over one eye. “I should like to withdraw my earlier decision not to make a heroic speech,” he whispered. “Denied,” Madam Arabica replied. The distant Keeper raised one hand. At once, every golden eye turned from the travelers toward the river of letters above. The hidden watchers seemed to hold the glowing symbols in place. The letters stopped drifting. They gathered, shifted and descended until a single word formed in the air. It was written in no language any of them knew, yet all understood it. BEGIN. Mara felt the word before she understood it. It touched her chest like the first beat of a newly awakened heart. Beside her, Linora inhaled sharply. Lumio’s screen shone white, then black, then silver, as though the enchanted phone were trying to remember what it had been before it learned to speak. The Keeper stepped forward. The silver mist opened, revealing a tall figure wrapped in a cloak covered with countless faint lines, each resembling the first sentence of a story too small to read. The face beneath the hood seemed to change whenever Mara tried to focus upon it: a woman with tired eyes, a smiling child, an old man beside a cold fireplace, a traveler beneath unfamiliar stars. Only the golden eyes remained unchanged. “You have followed the footsteps beyond the first chapter,” the Keeper said. “You have entered the place where beginnings wait before they are chosen.” Biblior and Memoris bowed. The others followed. “Are you the First Keeper?” Mara asked. “I am the first who remained,” the figure replied. “There were others before me, though none stood here long enough to be remembered.” The Keeper turned toward the watching shelves. “These are the Eyes of Origin. They guard every first word that has not yet found its story.” One enormous eye blinked, and a tremor passed through the shelves. Hundreds of books opened. “Why have they been waiting for us?” Linora asked. The Keeper looked directly at Lumio. “Not for all of you.” The phone vibrated so strongly that Linora nearly dropped it. A thin crack of blue light appeared beneath the silver roots spreading across its screen. It widened not like broken glass, but like a door opening from within. Lumio displayed no words. Instead, a small golden eye appeared at the center of the screen. Every hidden watcher closed at once. The hall darkened until only Lumio’s eye remained open. “What is happening to him?” Linora asked, gripping the phone with both hands. “The residual magic that awakened this object did not merely give it mischief,” the Keeper answered. “It gave it a beginning of its own.
