More about Be a Good Example

1 Timothy 4:12-13 says, "Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching."

This passage is a call to young believers to live out their faith in a way that sets an example for others. As young people, it's easy to feel like we don't have much to offer or that we're not taken seriously by those who are older and more experienced. But Paul reminds us that we have a unique opportunity to make a difference in the world by our example.

Paul tells Timothy to set an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. This means that we should be intentional about the way we speak and the way we act, showing love and faithfulness in all that we do. We should also strive for purity in our thoughts and actions, seeking to honor God in all areas of our lives.

Paul also encourages Timothy to devote himself to the public reading of Scripture, exhortation, and teaching. This is a reminder that as young believers, we have a responsibility to grow in our knowledge and understanding of God's Word. We should be intentional about reading and studying the Bible, and we should be willing to share what we've learned with others.
