See “Defensiveness Attempt #7” for details on my goal with this series. Check out my other posts for a progression on this project. Sorry they are posted out of order, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to repost an image if I delete it so I don’t think I can fix the ordering. You just have to use the titles of the images to follow along.
This one is the closest so far! However, this is much more realistic than my original idea, which I envisioned in colored pencil. Normally, that might be a good thing, but I was going to use the art style and artistic tools (I.e. colored pencils, markers, paints, crayons) to better represent the depth of character for the emotions and parts that I’m trying to create visuals for. Colored pencil felt right for the representation of “Defensiveness” because it’s more visually chaotic than marker or paints, but still more structured than crayon. It also better represents the age demographic of my “Defensiveness.” In other words, I think older teens tend to use colored pencils more when coloring and I imagine “Defensiveness” as 16-19 years old which fits the use of colored pencils.
