As we reflect on the devastating wildfires that struck California in 2018, we are reminded of the power of nature and the importance of being prepared for unexpected events. Yet, amidst the chaos and destruction, we can also see glimpses of hope and protection.

One example of this was the group of campers who were miraculously protected from the wildfires that swept through their area. Despite the flames and smoke that surrounded them, they were able to find safety and shelter in a nearby lake.

This story serves as a reminder of God's protection and provision in times of crisis. Just as He was with those campers, He is also with us in our own struggles and challenges. We may not always understand why certain things happen, but we can trust that God has a plan and purpose for everything.

In Psalm 91, we read about God's promise to protect us from harm and danger. It says, "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." (Psalm 91:4)

As we face the uncertainties of life, let us hold onto the promise of God's protection and provision. Let us trust in His faithfulness and seek refuge in Him. And let us remember that even in the midst of hardship and tragedy, there is always hope and a way forward.
