ArtistCreate a 4:3 realistic painterly fantasy storybook illustration for The Morks of Mistmoor – Chapter 35, Part 2: The House Above the Door. REFERENCE IMAGES — use exactly these four references: 1. CR-M1 – Morksik 2. CR-M17 – Eldren 3. CR-M4 – Hopsy 4. CR-M2 – Borstel Preserve every character’s established appearance exactly. Show ONLY Morksik, Eldren, Hopsy and Borstel. No additional characters and no duplicates. Scene: inside the abandoned old house at the edge of Mistmoor. The room is dusty, neglected and mysterious, with crooked wooden walls, worn floorboards, a broken chair pushed aside, cobwebs, an old window and faint blue-grey mist visible outside. The main visual focus is a newly opened PERFECTLY CIRCULAR opening in the wooden floor. Beneath it, ancient stone steps spiral downward into darkness. The opening must clearly look like a hidden entrance beneath the house, not a normal cellar staircase. Morksik stands beside the opening holding the incomplete silver eye-shaped disc. It glows faintly with cold silver light. Eldren kneels near the edge holding his established old map. A small silver parchment fragment is visibly embedded in the map, and a faint magical silver line leads toward the opening. Hopsy stands behind Eldren holding her lantern. IMPORTANT: preserve Hopsy’s clearly visible kangaroo pouch and its established travelling objects. Her warm lantern illuminates the upper steps. Borstel cautiously peers into the opening from a safe distance, visibly suspicious of another underground route. Deep below, twelve stone steps can be seen descending toward an apparently solid stone wall. Suggest that something hidden lies beyond it, but do NOT reveal the later underground plaza or seven arches yet. Subtle ancient circular and eye-shaped markings are carved into the stone around the hidden entrance. Cold silver magical light rises faintly from below and mixes with Hopsy’s warm lantern light. Composition: slightly elevated three-quarter camera angle so the viewer clearly sees the characters, circular floor opening and descending stairs. The mysterious entrance should dominate the lower centre of the image. Atmospheric abandoned-house interior, dust in the air, realistic wood and stone textures, cinematic depth, soft volumetric lighting, realistic painterly fantasy storybook style, mysterious adventure atmosphere rather than horror. No written text, captions or readable signs anywhere. Add only the established small white unicorn emblem with “AI by Unicorngraphics” discreetly in the bottom-right corner.
The Morks of Mistmoor
Chapter 35 The First Door Beneath Mistmoor Part 2 The House Above the Door
The abandoned house stood at the end of a narrow lane. Its roof sagged, one shutter hung crooked, and moss covered the steps. Eldren unfolded his map. The silver line ended at the front door. “I suppose knocking would be polite,” Hopsy said. Borstel stared at the dark windows. “Something beneath the village has already done enough knocking.” Morksik climbed the steps. Before he touched the handle, the silver disc became warm. Click. The door opened by itself. “Doors should wait until invited,” Borstel said. Hopsy raised her lantern and they entered. The room was empty except for dust, a broken chair and a fireplace filled with stones. Archivara opened her book. HOUSE — NOT PRESENT IN ORIGINAL MISTMOOR RECORD. The Keeper ran her fingers across the wall. “I remember this house.” “Who lived here?” asked Eldren. She hesitated. “I don’t remember.” Morksik looked at the floor. The silver line from Eldren’s map had appeared between the boards. It crossed the room and ended beneath the broken chair. Grimmeldorn lifted the chair with one hand. Under it was a metal ring set into the wood. “Trapdoor,” said Hopsy. “Of course,” Borstel muttered. Morksik pulled the ring. Nothing happened. Eldren brought the map closer. The fragment marked BELOW trembled. Morksik held the silver disc beside it. Click. The boards separated along a perfect circle and rotated aside, revealing stone steps. Hopsy counted as the lantern light moved downward. “Twelve.” “Only twelve?” Borstel asked hopefully. The thirteenth step was hidden behind a stone wall. Archivara’s book wrote: ACCESS ROUTE — INCOMPLETE. They descended until they stood crowded on the staircase. In the wall was a circular indentation with one section missing. Morksik placed the disc inside. Eldren touched BELOW. The silver fragment lifted from the parchment and floated into the missing section. The staircase trembled. Borstel grabbed Grimmeldorn’s arm. “Structural reasons.” The disc rotated. The wall sank into the floor, revealing the thirteenth step and a narrow corridor beyond. Symbols covered its walls: circles, eyes and seven doors drawn one inside another. “Those were beneath Mistmoor before Mistmoor existed,” Eldren whispered. Archivara opened her book. Blank. The Keeper stepped into the corridor. “We are outside its memory.” Borstel remained on the thirteenth step. “Can we go back inside? I was beginning to appreciate it.” Morksik continued. The silver disc released itself from the wall and returned to his palm. After several steps the fragment separated and flew back to Eldren’s map. “It wants us to keep both pieces,” Eldren said. “Or it doesn’t trust Morksik with all of them,” Borstel replied. The corridor curved downward.
