ArtistAn opulent Roman-style bedroom. The first rays of the sun filter in through the window. Laverno, an anthropomorphic ant in a rich Roman-style tunic and gold-embroydered senatorial toga stands in the center of the room. Laverno holds a staff of rosewood with a salmon-colored morganite gemstone inset at the top. Sextus, an anthropomorphic ant with a simple, Roman-style servant's tunic kneels before Laverno. An ornate wooden box with gold fittings lies upturned at Laverno's feet. The box is open and a mysterious glow emanates from it. Behind Laverno, a hidden door is open. Dogula, an anthropomorphic Transylvanian hound, wears black robes and a black cloak with a high collar and prominently shows his long canines protruding past his lower lip. Dogula holds a staff made of ebony which has a faintly glowing moonstone inset at the top. Dogula stands in the hidden door. Agatha, an anthropomorphic German spaniel with uniform glossy reddish-brown fur that shimmers in the light. Agatha wears an elegant dark green dress and carries a brown leather bag on her right side with the strap of the bag draped over Agatha's left shoulder. Falacar, an anthropomorphic ant in a Roman-style tunic and senatorial toga. Agatha and Falacar enter through a door opposite Lord Dogula. Agatha and Falacar are seen from behind. Athena, an anthropomorphic elderly tabby cat with green eyes in red robes and a red cloak, carries a sheath attached to her belt and wields a rapier in her hand. Purrsephone, an anthropomorphic orange and roundish cat with amber eyes in red robes and a red cloak, carries a sheath attached to her belt and wields a rapier in her hand. Artemis, an anthropomorphic fully white cat with blue eyes in red robes and a red cloak, carries a sheath attached to her belt and wields a rapier in her hand. Athena, Purrsephone and Artemis come running through a door to the right. Athena, Purrsephone and Artemis are seen from the side. They attack Laverno.
“My son,” Lord Falacar says. “Your mother and I are very disappointed in you. It is time you take responsibility for your actions. Surrender now, see the error of your ways and with a little luck, you may yet hope for mercy.”
Though he is restrained, Lord Laverno is clearly infuriated. “Never!” he screams and with a supreme effort he manages to tip his hand and throw the box to the floor, freeing himself from the immobilizing restraint of its magic.
The three Wiskerteers waste no time. They draw their weapons and pounce on him while Lord Dogula comes at him from behind.
