The Royal Exhibition Building is an exhibition building in the Carlton Gardens in Melbourne, Australia. It was used for the Melbourne International Exhibition, which took place from 1 October 1880 to 30 April 1881. The building and Carlton Gardens were inscribed on the Australian National Heritage List on 20 July 2004 and have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004.
