in this painting there are pictures of wild abandoned places in NYC, full of mystery and plants. Rachel Wells Ackerman, an urban New Yorker, is 76 with long grey hair and a few extra pounds. She goes everywhere in NYC with her little golden Chiweenie dog, named Molly by her side. She lives, works and rambles in Fort Green Brooklyn, and has been making art for 60 years,. She is attracted to wild places in between NYC buildings and the adventurous wild plants that grow in unkempt lawns, tree wells and lots, women who love women and children exploring everything. These are a meditative reflection of their condition.
