Everything has an end, and so the series about the famous Scottish folk song "The Bonnie Banks o' Loch Lomond" and its Irish counterpart "Red is the Rose" is now coming to an end. I hope you enjoyed my images about Scotland and Ireland, but don't worry, there will be more images about these two wonderful countries in the future. Likewise, I'll be starting a new series next week, this time using one of my own poems as a prompt, I hope I can get it translated into English and it works just as well as these both great songs.
Mar sin leibh agus tapadh leibh, Yours Chevalier Yvain de Leonais
I trysted my ain love the night in the broom,
My Ranald wha loves me sae dearly,
For the morrow he marches for Edinburgh toon,
To fecht for the King and Prince Chairlie.
