I tried to to create a deep wood out of modifiers that led to very colourful and intricate fairy-tale landscapes. I wanted something darker, not necessarily frightening, but neither as cheery. It turned out very serene.
That particular combination of artists produces are style that reminds me of 80s fantasy art. There is a Japanese artist that produces forest landscapes in a similar style, though I sadly can't recall their name.
