The Starved Archivist exists within libraries that no longer exist in the world of the living. It feeds not on books, but on the knowledge they contain. Every forgotten text, every lost language, every erased history eventually finds its way into its domain. The Archivist is never satisfied. Its hunger grows with every piece of knowledge consumed, yet it continues endlessly, driven by a need it cannot fulfill. Those who stumble into its domain often do so while searching for something specific—an answer, a truth, a forgotten name. The Archivist may offer that knowledge freely, but in exchange, it takes something in return: a memory, a skill, or even the ability to understand what was learned. Many leave with the answer they sought, only to realize they no longer remember why they needed it in the first place.
