The Staff of the Green Woods originated from a mighty oak tree that stood in an ancient forest. In many cultures, the oak was a symbol of strength and resilience. The wood of this tree was used by a forest sorceress named Liora. Liora lived far from cities and castles. She was known for understanding nature better than most people. Animals feared her, and plants seemed to grow especially strong in her presence. The staff she carved from the oak was decorated with leaf patterns and small animal figures. Legends say that the staff could emit a soft green glow. This light was said to have helped injured animals and given new strength to sick plants. When Liora died at an old age, the staff was supposedly returned to the forest from which it had originated. Some say that it still rests there among the roots of ancient trees.
