In the midst of a dark and stormy night, sailors at sea rely on the light from a lighthouse to guide them safely to shore. The lighthouse stands tall and strong, shining its beacon of light through the darkness, offering hope and direction to those who are lost and wandering.
Similarly, as Christians, we are called to shine in the darkness. In Matthew 5:14-16, Jesus says, "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Just as the lighthouse guides ships to safety, we are called to guide others to Christ through our words and actions. In a world that can often feel dark and hopeless, we have the opportunity to be a beacon of light, offering hope and direction to those who are lost and searching.
