More about ::SHE+ILA::'s Boots(traps) [$0A]

::SHE+ILA:: can currently run on a BIOS-based PC (*NOT* a UEFI one!!), an Apple ][ or //e, or an Atari 800XL.
On a PC, it will dual-boot provided you have made an inactive partition in entry 4 of the HDD partition table (not an extended partition). It uses this as its datastore. You can use entry 1 to run DOS, Windoze, or Linux if you want. Use SHE/RA (Segmented Hierarchy Environment/Random Access) to format the 4th partition as LBA with a minimum of 1 gigabyte of ::SHE+ILA:: pages (32K bytes per page) and install the native (full machine) or emulator (can co-exist with Windows NT/2000/XP) nucleus. Versions of Windoze later than XP (namely Vista, W7, W10) may not successfully run the emulator, so you would need to dedicate an old Pentium or AMD machine to your ::SHE+ILA:: system.
On an Apple ][ or //e, place a KDS 5000 program protection card in slot 7 and a 5.25" floppy drive in slot 6. Use a Neptune 256K ramcard to avoid too much swapping to floppy :)
On an Atari 800XL (or 65XE) use the Wandabox IDE interface to connect an old 80GB hard drive to the joystick ports. This can also be used with the Apple ][ version, via the KDS 5000 program protection card's bus port, or a modified Aristocard or Micro-K Parallel card in slot 5.
A complete runtime chipset is under development, allowing a free-standing native ::SHE+ILA:: minicomputer to be constructed, consisting of a 74LS181 + 74LS89 + various TTL glue chips, and a 82S105 microsequencer. It is powered from an old ATX 5 volt power supply. Have phun :)
