[CONTINUED FROM PART FOUR] By now, due to their advanced pneumatic computer technology, the Plushies had discovered a form of gravitomagnetic field theory. By filling a toroid (endless tube) with a conductive liquid metal, and pumping it round by means of a rotating magnetc field, the Plushies could produce "gravitational lift" and also a form of invisiblity, allowing them to explore the environment (and the planet) largely unobserved, though occasionally landing in order to explore (and leave "breadcrumbs" in nearby fields so they knew where they'd already been).
