The fact that he’s a crazy-looking demon should probably explain which side of the fence he represents (fantasy), but Hellboy is definitely a staple in the hallowed halls of beloved and memorable comic book characters. Not only the character himself, but the entire world around him is a beautiful blend of fantasy with characters from myth, fairy tales, and Mike Mignola’s imagination all coming together to create this place where the creature destined to destroy saves the world from those who would have him take on his mantle. Hellboy has some of the most fun and interesting fantasy stories in comics and the best part is that when Hellboy dies, he stays dead! Hellboy in Hell, watch for it this December!
