As a teacher, there are few moments more gratifying than seeing your students succeed and flourish, especially during a graduation ceremony. It's a moment of pride and joy, knowing that you have played a part in their growth, development, and success.
Watching students walk across the stage, is a reminder that all the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice put into their education has paid off. And just as a teacher delights in seeing their students achieve their academic goals, Father God delights in seeing us achieve our spiritual goals and receive eternal rewards.
The Bible tells us that there are rewards awaiting us in heaven for the good works we do on earth. In Matthew 6:19-21, Jesus says, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Just as a teacher desires to see their students succeed and receive recognition, Father God desires to see us receive eternal rewards for our faithfulness and obedience. So let us strive to live our lives in a way that honors God, knowing that the good works we do on earth will have eternal significance. And let us never forget that all our accomplishments and successes are ultimately due to His grace and provision, and to Him be all the glory and honor forevermore.
