ArtistThis captivating oil painting on canvas features a vivid impasto style, characterized by bold, heavy brush strokes that add depth and texture. The scene unfolds on a rugged, windswept island, where an elderly woman clad in flowing red garments stands outside her modest, whitewashed cottage. By her side are her faithful companions: a wolf, its coat dusted with the colours of the island, and a small sheep, alert and loyal. The thick brushstrokes vividly capture the tumultuous landscape, with jagged cliffs and tufts of grass swaying under the force of gusty winds.
