Preserve the existing artwork exactly as it is. Make ONLY one localized change: refine the small arrangement of objects on the dressing table / vanity at the lower right of the image. Replace the ambiguous, modern-looking rectangular tabletop object with a restrained, elegant, period-authentic mid-century vanity arrangement. Include one beautiful cut-crystal perfume bottle or perfume atomizer with a decorative glass stopper, accompanied by a small gold-toned vanity tray. If there is naturally enough room, a single small period powder jar or compact may be included, but keep the arrangement sparse and sophisticated rather than cluttered. The new objects must look as though they were part of the original painting from the beginning, NOT like objects added afterward. Fully integrate them into the existing illustration: match the original perspective, scale, lighting direction, warm reflected light, shadows, reflections on the vanity surface, surrounding colors, degree of detail, edges, and painterly brushwork. The cut crystal may catch a few subtle highlights from the existing light, but it must remain a secondary detail and must not become a new focal point. Maintain the existing mid-century American commercial illustration character of the vanity area, including its softly modeled forms, painterly highlights, selective detail, and looser peripheral brushwork. Do not make the new objects more sharply rendered, photographic, glossy, or detailed than the surrounding painted objects. IMPORTANT: Everything outside this small tabletop-object area is locked and must remain unchanged. Do NOT alter, regenerate, repaint, retouch, reinterpret, beautify, sharpen, crop, resize, recompose, or restyle any other part of the image. Do not change either person in any way. Preserve their faces, expressions, eyes, hair, anatomy, hands, fingers, poses, clothing, jewelry, skin tones, proportions, and placement exactly as they currently appear. Do not change the woman's dress or pearls. Do not change the man or his clothing. Do not change the flowers, vase, mirror, furniture, background, lighting, composition, color palette, or existing brushwork. The vanity-object replacement is the ONLY permitted alteration. Everything else must remain exactly as it is.
