In the year of two one nine five,
The land of stars and stripes alive,
But deep within a civil strife,
Ripped apart by political life.
Idiotic beliefs tore us apart,
From election fraud to a biased heart,
We refused to listen, refused to see,
The damage we caused to our democracy.
Transgenderism caused a hateful divide,
Bigotry and ignorance hard to hide,
And 'wokeism' deemed a threat,
As science was denied and left to fret.
The aftermath of the war was grim,
A land of broken dreams and dim,
But hope still lingers in the air,
A chance for peace, a chance to repair.
Let us learn from our past mistakes,
And build a future that unifies and takes,
Political, economic, and social strife,
And turns it into a better life.
