A contemplative woman sits in a dim, dusty room with a single lit lamp and scattered papers on a desk.
ACTUAL TITLE TO THIS IS:
"ANOTHER ONE'
...................................
A poem I wrote several years back and it is so relevant even today still....
..................................
"...A n o t h e r O n e..."
-We hear the cries
"Oh GOD!...
...Another one is dead!"
Why can't we stop the killings;
the life of ones we love - the life that lies ahead?
Spoken words...anger flares...quick reactions:
A life now gone. The life of ones' loved.
-we hear the cries
we hear the cries
"Oh God!...
...Another one is dead!"
How can we stop the killings?!
A life - ones loved - the future is in out our hands.
Losses we have felt - think back on all the pain!
Quick reactions that are taken;
to words spoken with anger...cannot be taken back.
-we hear the cries
Who shouts the loudest? Is it you?
Is the future life now gone of: family, friend; even foe?!
-again:
-we hear the cries
"Oh God!"...
...Another one is dead!"
STOP the killings!
Live life with ones we love.
'Make' a future of action: NOT reactions!
It very well could be you...
-when again:
-we hear the cries
from family, friend; even foes...shouting...
"Oh God!...
...Another one is dead!"
