The “Law” at present Denies Copyright to images or text generated “SOLELY” by AI. DDG Images are not generated "Solely" by AI. Human input is required.
I've seen no law on AI with human created prompts or base images. As a photographer, I own all of my photographs, over 150K and counting.
As a writer, I own each and every poem, article, and story I write. This is the present law for all writers and photographers.
IF I ALONE write/ create a prompt, it is my property by law...as it currently stands.
But...the "Legal" waters are very murky when AI comes into play.
And sadly, the Legal System (in the US) is horribly broken and I expect NO Justice from our courts, nor should you.
Large corporations wield great influence there and you and I are insignificant.
Whatever you publish here is exposed to use by many individuals, from all around the globe and litigation would likely be a waste of time.
I do not publish anything I am not willing to have someone else "borrow", so sadly, some of my best creations will never be seen by the other dreamers.
I suggest you accept things as they are. You may as well, because you are not going to be able to change them.
All of this is a gift, unless you are paying for it. So...just play and have fun. Make yourself happy and when you share a dream...just "Let it Go"!
