And so began an unlikely friendship between the Firefly and the Gunpowder Owl. Together they explored the explosives warehouse, and the Firefly's light illuminated the dark nooks and crannies. The Gunpowder Owl told the Firefly stories of explosions and destruction,

Little by little, the warehouse began to change. The firefly's light attracted new creatures - insects, bats and small animals. The Gunpowder Owl protected them with its powerful voice and sharp claws.
