Prompt: Imagine yourself in complete darkness. The only clue that you’re not alone is the smell. It’s sharp, rotten, mixed with the metallic tang of fresh blood and the sickly-sweet stench of feces. Beneath your feet, the ground feels soft and sticky, and then it starts pulsing—like you're standing on living flesh.
Ahead, a flickering light reveals something you immediately regret seeing. Before you stands a creature beyond description. Its face is nothing more than a stretched, cracked layer of skin, with gaping holes where eyes should be. From these holes, something resembling intestines slowly slithers out, wet and slimy, as if searching for you. Instead of a mouth, there’s a massive, twisted cavity, dripping with rotting flesh and jagged teeth that look like shards of broken glass.
Its body is a mangled mess of muscles, covered in blood and torn patches of skin that barely cling to its frame. Through the gaps, its organs are exposed, occasionally slipping out and then somehow pulling themselves back inside. Every step it takes leaves a bloody trail, accompanied by a grotesque squelching sound, like a decaying carcass dragged across stone.
Its arms are impossibly long and thin, ending in claws that resemble rusted blades. They twitch and claw at the air spasmodically. From a gaping wound in its chest, you hear something—a sound like the cry of an infant, warped and distorted, blending with a low, guttural growl.
And then it looks directly at you, even though it has no eyes. You feel a crushing weight in your lungs, and you realize it’s not fear—it’s its breath, pulling the life out of you, leaving behind only a cold, nauseating despair.
