Marco was amazed and taken aback,

He looked at Cicero with eyes so wide,
For he had never met a chicken so bright.
Together they roamed through the land,
Cicero on Marco's shoulder, oh so grand,
As they traveled far and wide,
The chicken's wisdom, he couldn't hide.
They spoke of love, of life, of fate,
Of happiness, of sadness, and of hate,
Their conversations were so profound,
That all who listened, felt astound.
But one day, as they rested by a stream,
A hawk appeared, and Cicero did scream,
For he was no match for the bird so bold,
And soon he was captured, oh so cold.
