• Used settings:

  • Prompt: Masterpiece, a full-screen, broad format of an extremely detailed linocut, painstakingly and masterfully executed in several layers. This exquisite contemporary Japanese folio reimagines the poem's theme through a scene of raucous, unbridled celebration. The composition is a vibrant, chaotic tapestry of a grand drinking party under the full bloom of cherry trees. The same idealized Heian-period aristocrat is now the life of the feast, his elegant robes in disarray, a large cup of "dirty rice wine" held aloft in a joyful, unsteady hand. He is surrounded by a lively mix of courtly nobles and tough, off-duty samurai. The nobles, their intricate, beautiful patterns rendered with fine lines, laugh and recite poetry with exaggerated gestures. The samurai, their forms defined by stronger, bolder cuts and layered washes of indigo and charcoal, have shed their formal sternness one rests an arm familiarly on a noble's shoulder, another sings a folk song, his helmet tipped back. The dynamic lighting of paper lanterns and the fading spring sun creates pools of warm, rich color, illuminating overturned casks, scattered cups, and a feast in delightful disarray. The entire scene, captured with the energetic feel of a joyful speedpainting, is a screen-filling, award-winning vision of catharsis a deliberate, collective immersion in wine to forget the "useless things" and embrace the fervor of a life fully, if messily, lived.
